We are seeking a hospital housekeeper in Tawas City, MI for 2nd shift.
This job requires cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, discharge rooms, common areas, hospital operating rooms, offices and other spaces inside the hospital.
The Environmental Services associate assists in establishing and maintaining an environment that is safe, clean and conducive to patients, visitors, and staff. EVS associates are required to complete work tasks as assigned and follow a10-step cleaning process.
Associates will observe hospital dress code and grooming standards at all times.

This position includes:
- Disinfecting and dusting all designated areas
- Replenishing all supplies and removal of trash
- Spot cleaning carpet and upholstery
- Cleaning up spills
- Operating vacuum cleaning equipment
- Dusting/damp mopping floors, stairs and landings
- Disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable cleaning bodily fluids and waste and being around sick or injured people.
- Outstanding manual skills.
- Ability to communicate using a variety of methods including pagers, overhead speakers, telephones, cell phones, etc.
- Ability to learn and perform a variety of tasks
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance.
