Entry-Level Die Setter (Stamping / Tooling) – Manufacturing | Full-Time
Location: Rochester Hills
Shift: 2nd shift (training on 1st)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Die Setter to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for candidates with basic knowledge of stamping dies, tooling, or mechanical systems who are eager to learn and develop hands-on skills in a fast-paced production environment. If you have worked around dies, presses, or tooling and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with die setup, changeovers, and adjustments on stamping presses.
- Support the production team in maintaining efficient press operations and uptime.
- Learn proper die alignment, clamping, and securing techniques.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of dies and tooling issues.
- Inspect parts to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
- Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S standards).
- Work closely with supervisors and experienced die setters for training and development.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply – prior exposure to dies, tooling, or manufacturing preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Familiarity with metal stamping, press operations, or die components is a plus.
- Ability to read basic work instructions or blueprints (preferred but not required).
- Strong attendance, reliability, and willingness to learn.
