CNC Lathe Operator (Fanuc Controls)

Pay: $18+/hr
Location: Livonia, MI
Shift: 2pm-10:30pm or 10pm-6:30am

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator (Level II) with hands-on experience running machines with Fanuc controls. This role requires someone who can go beyond basic operation — including offsets, tool changes, and maintaining tight tolerances in a production environment.

This is NOT a button-pushing position. We are looking for a candidate who understands machining processes, can make adjustments independently, and maintain consistent part quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls in a production environment.
Hold tight tolerances of ±0.001 or better.
Perform tool offsets, wear adjustments, and tool changes.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
Perform basic troubleshooting and minor machine adjustments.
Maintain consistent part quality and production output.
Complete inspection reports and production documentation.
Assist with basic setup and process adjustments as needed.
Follow all safety and manufacturing procedures.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of CNC lathe experience (Fanuc controls required).
Ability to hold tight tolerances (±0.001) consistently.
Hands-on experience with:
- Offsets and tool wear adjustments.
- Tool changes.
- Blueprint reading .
- Precision measuring tools.
Strong understanding of machining processes — not just loading parts.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience:

Experience working in high-volume, tight-tolerance environments.
Exposure to M-codes and minor program adjustments.
Experience supporting setups or changeovers.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs.
Comfortable handling small precision parts.
Able to work in a manufacturing environment.
