We are hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator to support production in a hydroforming and metal fabrication facility. This role is responsible for forming, trimming, and finishing metal components used in automotive and industrial applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced with metal forming processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hydroforming equipment and metal fabrication machines.
- Form, cut, trim, and shape sheet metal parts to specifications.
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and part drawings.
- Perform quality inspections using gauges, calipers, and templates.
- Deburr, grind, and finish parts as required.
- Load/unload materials and handle parts safely.
- Maintain production output while meeting quality standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE, and lockout/tagout requirements.
- Keep work area clean and organized using 5S standards.
- Report defects, equipment issues, or material concerns.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.
Preferred:
- Experience in hydroforming or automotive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with presses, trimming tools, and forming equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift or material handling experience.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment with heavy equipment.
- Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.
